The skies twisted in solar rebellion; masking the great star with their vapors. From those heavens cast the growing wind that twisted and intertwined the foliage that was around her. A slice of glee spread over those vivid maroon eyes- to be pacing the shore when the weather was against her was indeed imprudent. But this was Aoerx, the one wolf who seemed to consider herself above reprimand from all beings. Tail flicked thoughtlessly as she paraded toward; those last few vertebrae twitching with in their fleshed prison. The lake emanated a soothing serenity but the skies turbulent nature would not deter the she-wolf from acknowledging the possible factors of such vengeful weather.
Aoerx prowled along the shore, granules of dirt and sand slipping between her digits and irritating the skin as they rubbed together with each step she made. Jaw slackened and moist black lips drawing in the atmosphere that left a salty after taste on her tongue. The air itself tasted of the coming rain, a relief for those enduring the late summer heat, not to mention the baking greenery that was starting to brown from lack of moisture.
So what exactly was she doing here all by her lonesome? Who could say, she was an enigma who barely understood herself half of the time as it were. She giggled spiritedly as she bounced about, thoroughly enjoying herself as the first drizzles of rain began to mist. Angling her black-furred face toward the grayed heavens she sprouted a toothy grin and began to lick at the falling drops like a whelp enjoying their first days of rain when all others had sought shelter from it.

{Serene}From the breaks of the vast and wondrous Meadows, a lone figure wandered toward the knowledge of the lake. Her gait was one of passive silence, as she trudged toward the sweet saline scents that seemed to coat her nostrils with each step she took toward it. The female was no other then Serene, obviously no stranger to the loner lands, she was one of the few that refused to other with other loners. -Normally- The femme rose her snout toward the sky as the first pitter patter of rain began to fall. Bright gray orbs seemed to flutter down against her face in order to keep the tiny droplet from getting in. What a sight that would have been, snorting gingerly, Serene turned on her paws toward the small path that led toward the lake. The scent of sand and murky water already returning strange yet somewhat enjoyable memories of her pup hood.
Serene could feel the rain against her pelt, and in a sense it made her want to blush and hurt something at the same time. Why had it not rained the day her mother died? Why not when her brother died? Surely, no bird would be scouting for food in the rain. A sudden rage seemed to crawl into Serene's delicate mind, and without thinking further she bolted toward the closest tree which happened to be one just before reaching the lakeside. Slamming her full frame into the bark, she brought her paws down along the tree's side truck. Growling softly, as she rammed into it's heavy form again. She could feel the ache in her bones from the force yet at this strange point in her behavior she could care less about the small and pointless matters of what anything or anyone thought about her. Something. Someone. Had. To. Pay. For. The. Deaths.
Pulling back her frame with several long debated steps, she narrowed her storm drawn gray hues onto the tree. Already, most of the bark her height had been clipped from her claws, the sight seemed to thrill her to the least. Crouching low against the ground, the thin muscles of her haunches seemed to crunch together and without delay she was launching her frame into the middle of her tree. Something managed to go wrong, her right hind paw had been caught onto one of the thinner roots that protruded from the ground. A harsh snap ripped into the air as her skull collided with tree's core, and the root wrapped around her paw was tore from the ground.
BLACKOUT!
Everything had went dark for a moment, and groaning softly, Serene's back wiggled against the thinning grass that was pressed into her flank. A slight flutter came to her hues, and widening them she saw a wolf just at the shore. The strange female seemed to yapping toward the oncoming rain. The sight was unbelievably peaceful, nearly brought tears to her eyes despite the searing pain that ripped through her delicate form as she lay on her back looking at that angelic wolf. 'I hope I'm not dead...' Mumbling the words, she recalled what a waste it would be to die at this point. She still didn't have something to live for, what wolf could die without dying for something? Other then rage and madness of course.

Blissfully unaware of another being meandering out of her sight Aoerx continued her vigorous dance along the bank as the rain began to synchronize its tempo. The she-wolf didn’t’ mind the cold droplets spat from the heavens, nor did she seem particularly vexed that her fluffy pelt was reduced to a sagging sheet against her where it hugged at her body and shimmered with newfound luster. The dusty film that had gathered in a thin layer was washed away to leave her cleansed of earthen minerals and perfectly refreshed.
Nothing else mattered in these moments, strife being a far off concern and the woes of the future put aside as she bounded like the deer that she used to chase. The earth made soft squelching noises as her paws collided with the already moist soil, saturated twice over by the cascading rain. The gentle rumble of thunder reverberated deep in the throat of the dreary clouds that gave no indication of journeying elsewhere with their cooling spray.
Aoerx sprang upward, twisting her body as her paws left the ground and snapping giddily at the rain that splashed against her tongue. She bayed loudly as she landed; tail a whirlwind of motion as she circled repeatedly, eyes fixated on the sky. Flashes in the clouds, the prelude to possible lighting forking the sky, dazzled her and she anxiously bolted around once more. Chasing shadows on the ground and drawing closer to the forest.
It was soft; she almost didn’t hear it with her paws thumping the ground and her heart hammering against her chest like a caged animal. Blood rushing in her ears she nearly missed the groans of agony that was muffled by the winds growing volume, swallowed by their howls. Before she had been a small, wet tornado pivoting about and now she was so still she might disappear if your eyes were drawn away from her.
Barely making out a shape among the roots of the nearby trees, only just able to discern the rise and fall of the creatures side where it lay staring at her. The breeze didn’t help her get a scent and she warily regarded the form but was too hyped to care if it was a predator. Growling throatily she bounced forward, every time she thought the contour moved she’d veer to the side until she was zigzagging her way up the slope.
The scent hit her: Wolf, a relief and yet another reason to get antsy. Hesitantly she sniffed, quick gulps that told her the canine was healthy and thus more difficult to deal with. However despite as close as Aoerx was she didn’t seem to be moving, not even concerned that she was in a very compromising position. “Hey are you alright there?” Aoerx called, extending a forepaw to tap the wolf’s flank and leaving a muddy print where it had been.

It hadn't taken long before Serene's vision began to blur. Yet, still with her dwindling energy is watched the bounding canine as it caught the rain drops in her maw. Serene had never seen a wolf literally jump for raindrops. It was a new and strange idea, this thing about being dead was starting to get to her. Mumbling softly, Serene's forepaw eased out from it's place in the grass and wove careful circles throughout the long drawn out soaked grass. Blinking once-twice-three times, Serene realized just how wet her fur was becoming. A faint flustered annoyance frown found it's way onto her curled black lips. Sighing, the femme dropped her head back into the grass. Fasnated gray orbs intent on the dark dancing figure in the distance as it seemed to hesitantly coming closer. 'Great..I really am dead.' The words were almost a whisper and were almost dripping with sheer annoyance at the whole situation. Last time she ever picks a fight with a tree. Musing at that amusing little tid bit, she watched as the other wolf approached.
Serene remained silent and let the other observe her, blinking away for a few moments she waited for some words from the femme. “Hey are you alright there?” Grunting lightly, Serene tipped her head up faintly. '...I'll take it I'm not dead thanks.' Grumbling, she shifted her gaze to the muddy paw print that was now coating her flank. Serene's form shuddered some as she attempted to roll onto her paws. Her bones still ached and her muscles seemed to rebel. Despite the protest her body put but she managed to get on her paws before narrowing her stormy gray hues onto the dark female. 'Congrads on getting mudd on me though..' She mumbled the words quite sarcastically, before shaking out the rain from her pelt. Another annoyed frown seemed to snake onto her face, and nearing her frame under the tree from the rain she glared at the other wolf, before dropping her snout to carefully dabble away a few trained licks on her white gray pelt.

Well wasn’t she just pleasant. A similar frown of annoyance adorned the black-faced female, eyes narrowing obstinately as the wolf who she’d presumed was either incapacitated or near death made a rather surly remark. ”Well excuse me for living!” she barked indignantly fighting back the growl that bubbled in her throat to no avail. The noise crawled out of her throat like something trying to escape purgatory and laced with her words which only served to make them sound snippy and equally unsocial.
Here she was checking on the female and she had to go and be sarcastic about her kindness – hadn’t anyone ever heard of gratitude before? Sticking her tongue out at Serene in the way that juveniles often do, their last resort if they had no intention on physical combat, she flicked her tail in a slow, indolent fashion before plopping her rump in the soggy dirt and inspecting the rising wolf with interest.
Hostility forgotten she eyed her like she was a new toy and was just trying to figure out how to activate it. “So….what’cha doing?” she said at long last, head tilted sideways as if the angle was better and would reveal the magic ‘on’ switch that she seemed to be searching for.
[[I'll have to revise her bio since the way I'm roleplaying her is completely off from what I wrote XD]]

Serene was slightly amused by this female's actions. Here she was just annoying little Serene and she was growling all snippy at her? To tired and battered from her little battle with an oak tree, she sunk to her haunches with a quite loud groan. Catching that little tongue sticking out game, Serene widened her eyes in sheer shock. She'd never seen a wolf do that either. Sheesh this is one strange wolf... Her mind seemed to be having a fun time trying to figure this one out. Serene was starting to believe that nonsense that all wolves come in different shapes and sizes, that was true, sure. Yet, no one said they were insane. Drawing her eyelashes down along her eyes she looked at the female as she was inspecting her.
The very pointed tip of her snout twitched at that little notion, and curling the bushy stray colored tail around her lower half, she wiggled her black nose. Boy, was this lone wolf odd. Serene's eye rose in question but quickly fell back into place there was no doubt in her mind that if she said something average this odd-pup would respond average. 'Hey! Can you stop looking at me like your a pup and I'm your first piece of food.' Another grumble carefully fell from her dark lips, as she swiped her tongue along the corners of her maw. “So….what’cha doing?” Serene carelessly rose her head from it's level position and looked at the lone wolf like she was completely pup brained.
You know the look. 'Currently?' Serene mused for a moment before rising and trotted around the female in an amused notion of thought. 'Well, first. I'm trying to figure out how the tree won. Second, I'm trying to figure out why you are so...weird?' Chuckling some, she dropped her bottom down a few from the female.

Aoerx puffed her cheeks and glared at the battered female who was healthy enough to be this standoffish. ”I resemble that remark!” she spat tersely not realizing she had used the wrong word for that particular sentence. Whether she’d realize that she had meant to say ‘resent’ rather than ‘resemble’ was anybodies guess. Aoerx had never been particularly good with words and very rarely screened anything she said, running on pure impulse rather than consideration.
Furred lobes slid backward and flipped back into position to hear the story of the epic battle with the oak tree. The female rolled her eyes and gave Serene a superior sneer, as though she knew something vital and was debating whether or not to share that information. “Geeze don’t you know anything? Everyone knows tree’s cheat.” the fact that she said this in complete seriousness was laughable in and of itself. But even worse, the fact that she truly believed the trees were capable of assault was downright sad.
“Yeah, yeah I’ve heard it all before.” she grunted offhandedly, tail swishing back and forth and disrupting the grass beneath her. Straightening to all fours she started to walk away from Serene. ”Aoerx is a weirdo,” she chimed, the notes churlish but musical at the same time as she recited things others had said about her. “Aoerx is funny lookin” She said this and bent her torso to the wet blades pressed it down to the soil until her top half was sliding in the mud while her hindquarters walked, propelling her forward. “Bugs are smarter than Aoerx.” She went on, this time letting gravity take her completely to the ground where she rolled around and flattened grass.
“Aoerx this, Aoerx that, get off my back.” She sang thoughtlessly, craning her head backward to see what Serene was doing or what she would do. “I’m different what of it? At least I didn’t get knocked out by a tree.” she mumbled grumpily.

The fae stared up at the other with a blank look blanketed across her face. Was she aware she said resemble? A low chuckle seemed to slip from Serene's delicate maw before, she leaned her back into the tree with a low and light yawn. 'Look!' Raising off her haunches, Serene glared at the she-wolf with a light growl. 'I don't care what others have called you. From my eyes, you are only talkative and weird.' The urge to walk off didn't seem to strike her as she thought it would. Great. Dim stormy gray orbs seemed to bat over the she-wolf in thought but she didn't want to hear any of this at all. She just wanted to curl up in her den and ignore wolves that she was capable of doing until this little accident with the tree. 'I can't believe I thought You were an angel!' Shaking her head to and fro almost violently, Serene turned on her paws without waiting for another word.
'I'm hungry. Nice meeting you Aoerx.' It didn't take yet another moment before, Serene's silvery white pelt was bounding off after the ripe scent of rabbits. Hopefully they were nearby, without a doubt they were easy prey and didn't involve help from other wolves. Serene glanced toward the side, and could only hope that she-wolf wasn't following her, but that slinking feeling told her she was wrong about that idea.
