Finding answers CLOSED

Ghost had padded a long way to get here.He usually wasnt this far from the pack but he wanted to explore.He quietly padded closer to a strange scent he was smelling.It was so overwellming that he almost threwup.He quietly muttered to himself "what smells like crap?"

-Sky, you posting? Then I will. That Cycle maybe? Ghost, Sky Me, Ghost Sky Me...etc. ?? -

A few words caught Thanatos's attention. The king was walking with his queen. The scent of Lightning Pack was strong but that was expected on the edge of his kingdom. He turned his head towards the voice. It was deep, masculine. His mouth opened and he took a deep breath. Suddenly, the scent of another testosterone filled male hit his senses. His hackles rose immediately, and a snarl was emitted from deep within his barrel. His fae was in season and no dog was going to come close to her.

He rounded on the stranger and crashed through the undergrowth to stand directly in front of him. Thanatos relaxed almost immediately. Mostly it was because Thanatos was in his prime. The brute that was now before him was greying at the muzzle. He was easily 15, maybe 16 years old. Thanatos rolled his eyes and smoothed his fur with a shake. "It's probably the fact that you just walked over a fox den, gramps." He chuckled. It was true. Foxes did smell absolutely disgusting and the older wolf had just walked through a den.

Calypso smiled and nuzzled Thanatos as he smelt something. She was occupied with him, though all senses were alert he caught it first. She was not scared but she dashed into a bush. Sight could not see the stranger and she barked for answers to Thanatos.

Her ears were flat, her hair standing up and she looked behind her incase. Now she seemed a little impatient. every second counted, and she wondered if the brute sense was a danger or not. was it a enemy, or a ally? Did he have any allies?

Calypso's scent of estrus was strong, she could not hide it as it danced around her, as it had when she and Thanatos had been walking. She smiled, and wondered if Thanatos wanted pups, or if it was too soon, he was probaly still unsure about somethings with herself.

Ghost growled"I may be old but Im still young enough to defeat you"he was irritated.This kind of terrain was very harsh.Barely any cover it was mostly just like a desert of tiny grass.He stepped back from the foxes den and looked back at the 2 wolves.His grey fur rippled in the wind and his eyes shone bright.He had no intentions of fighting unless he was provoked and his temper was running on short now.

Thanatos snickered. "Grampa, you're a bit over your head." Usually, Thanatos wasn't confident. This was no exception. The male before him was defintely seasoned but a 15-year-old wolf was absolutely no match for a 6-year-old that was perfectly healthy. Thanatos looked over his shoulder. "Calypso...come." Once more, his arrogance caused him to out do himself. He smiled and turned back to the stranger. "And you are...?"

Calypso heard Thanatos' strong confident voice, and knew something was up. She emerged from the bush and rounded a corner, to face a weathered wolf and the King. She dipped her head barely in mere respect for all the trials and tribulations the old wolf must have gone through.

She smiled to Thanatos and stopped by him. She sat sweetly on her haunches, back straight and looking beautiful. The moment she walked in, her scent danced around them, some femme's would try to hide it, but she was confident and wore it as a badge.

"I am Ghost leader of lighting pack and you 2 are?"he asked in the same tone.He grinded his teeth a bit.If he got into a fight he knew it would be over quick.He tried to show no aggresion but was very impatient.He watched them carefully if they decided to attack.

Thanatos sat down on his haunches. He pulled a paw forward and scratched behind his ear with a sheepish grin. "Well well. The lovely Aster finally took a mate." He looked at Calypso and grinned before looking back at Ghost. "Well...Ghost... I am Thanatos, the alpha of Wind Pack. And, this is my beautiful and perfect queen, Calypso." He nodded his head in hello. Ghost deserved his respect. He was an alpha, and he was much older. Thanatos would give him the respect he deserved.

Calypso heard the voive she loved through white auds and nodded. "Calypso it is. And the strong Thanatos." She gave him the credit he deserved, Strong was to say the least. Obviously they were old pals or something, so she stayed quiet as they seemed to catch up. Her tail wagged, but seemed to be in slow motion.[/color

Ghost sat down slowly though he felt something was wrong.He smelled something that was unusual and he smelled it before.As a bear leaped out of the bushes straight for Thantos he dived in and pushed him out of the way.He felt the claws of the bear dive in through his back.In that second he saw his whole life and felt content.He dropped to the ground.He let out a faint sigh.He knew this wasnt the end.....

The scent hit Thanatos like a hurricain. Bear. Thanatos jumped up just in time to be knocked out of the way. The scene passed in slow motion. He saw, in excruciating detail, as the bear's claws dug into the elder's pelt. He lunged at the bear's leg and bit down as hard as he could. The bear let go of Ghost and turned it's attention to the alpha of wind pack. "Calypso! Look to Ghost. That's an order!" He had the feeling that unless he made that clear, she would jump into action against the bear.

Hopefully, she would tend to Ghost in time. If she didn't, Ghost would probably die. Then again, with the amount of blood, Ghost probably wouldn't make it anyway. Thanatos was going to down the bear if it was the last thing he did. He caught a claw to the flank and used it as propulsion to lock his jaws under the beast's throat. A few moments later, it was over. The bear was running, a fatal wound in his neck. Thanatos limped back to his mate and the other male...hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

Calypso moved to the side like Thanatos had, she wanted to help attack the bear, but orders were orders. She dashed around the bear and firmly grabbed the elder's neck att he back. she found his scruff and silently but quickly, her little body dragged him further intot he grass, unseen by the bear. Calypso laid him down lightly and presed her ear to his chest. It was faint and light. She shook her head in denial. there was nothing she could do. But she had heard of something, blacken leaf. And if chewed takes away pain. (In another role play they do this, if I may) she looked around the grass, there should be some in here. She wandered around for a couple of seconds and found it. She placed it over her muzzle, hovering over him her voice rang strong, and confident this might work. "Ghost. Please try and swallow this, it will help with your pain." If the bear came, well she would act to that then. She sighed and stood by him.

He looked up at the leaf and laughed."Let me die tell Thantos this is not the last time you will hear or see me."He snickered a bit and then he lay silently his eyes closed and his breath gone.At that same time a pup was born in the mountains(from a random wolfess).He looked exactly like Ghost.He was abandonded right there.He muttered softly"when I find that bear Im gonna end it".He strutted off toward lightining pack now he was a loner again.He didnt know how they would react to him.It would take him a couple days before he got back there and he needed to hurry since he was a pup he couldnt hunt and he would die if he didnt get back.
