Dark black coat emerged from a clump of trees. Twinsets pricked forward as he listened for any predators. He sniffed the air, raising his nose and stopping for a moment. Close, something was close, a pack. The Wind Pack. He smiled and flicked his tail, continuing on to find the alpha. He was not yet at the border, though the brute knew he was close. His paws crunched in the leaves as he walked, cautious though not worrying too much.

It was windy, making the air cold and unwelcoming. He shook his coat, looking at the sky. Winter would come soon, he had to find a pack before then. Orbs drifted back to the path ahead of him, soon he was standing at the border. He looked around, no one seemed near but he knew the land was claimed. Knowing he could get into trouble for crossing he rolled his eyes and howled.
Hopefully, probably, he would be accepted, and he would find a mate.

He shook his pelt in the cold wind and sighed. Hurry up alpha... he thought bitterly. He was one to say what was on his mind, though not when it came to mates. His yellow orbs pierced through the land. Looking everywhere, taking in his surroundings. He sat on his haunches and glanced behind him, hearing crunching but it was only a rabbit. Not hungry, he left it, watching it skurry away.
His name is Stunt, and he is here for a purpose.

Holy hell, I've been popular lately. Thanatos took a deep breath. He had just heard yet another howl. There was someone else that wanted his attention. This time it was another male. The last time that happened, it was Ghost, and he was killed by a bear a few seconds later. The meeting with Aster... Yeah, he didn't wanna think about it. Again, the wolf sighed and hoisted himself to a standing position. The king was tired, and here we go again.

Slowly, deliberately, he made his way toward the sound. A few moments later, the ebony pelt of another male came into view. He walked up, sat down, and glared. Yes, Thanatos was grouchy. "Something I can do for you, stranger?" His eyes didn't leave the black wolf before him, but an aud swiveled to catch the sound of his mate approaching. As leading lady, she was almost always with him. It pleased the king to have such a capable queen.

Hearing a wolf approaching, Stunt lowered himself slightly, it was noticeable, though he watched carefully as the brute sat infront of him. Nodding his head to the alpha... or so he thought he looked at him for a moment. Stunt sighed and glanced away as he spoke, looking back when he finished. The brute glared at him and Stunt almost rolled his eyes but held it back.

"I'm looking for a pack to join," He said, looking at him with his piercing eyes. "My name's Stunt." Adding the last part, he flicked his tail. He seemed like a grouch, glaring at him still. Stunt continued to watch him, though he was still lowered. His pelt gleamed in the sun, orbs drifted away, past the alpha as he glanced at the land again.

The male gained serious points by lowering himeslf and keeping his eyes averted. He was obviously experienced and he could swallow his pride enough to submit. It was clear he wasn't as low as some of the other wolves Thanatos had met lately, so if the king said yes, the brute would obviously get a high rank. Thanatos dipped his head in greeting, keeping his eyes on the stranger. His glare lessened just enough as golden orbs raked over the ebony's body.

"Welcome," It was a single word. That was probably all it would take, but Thanatos was usually very thourough. "If you choose to stay here. Your loyalty will reside with myself. I will exprect absolute subordination. If you want a pack with virtually no pecking order head that way," he pointed. "If you want one where the alpha flips, there," again, he pointed with his muzzle. "You may only stay in my lands until the full moon. On that night, you must make a choice to stay or leave. If you wish to stay, I will pass judgement. Do you understand everything I have said?" Yes, Thanatos was that arrogant.

Black tail swished back and forth for a moment as he waited, gaze on the alpha. He raised his head slightly as he began to speak, black twinsets pricking forward as to not miss a word. He glanced around them again, waiting to see if another wolf would appear, but none did. Not even an alphess. He turned his attention back to the alpha and nodded.

"Understood." He repeated to the brute. He almost laughed at all the terms, but let it go anyway. He looked at the sky for a moment, the trees rustled in the breeze. Maybe there was a fae here with no mate. But he would have to be loyal to the alphas if he wanted to be beta male. He would try his best, though Stunts best never seemed good enough, for his old pack anyways.
He shifted his weight and straightened up a little bit, yellow orbs still looking at the brute until glancing away. This alpha would be hard to please, he thought. Lets hope his alphess, is better.

Thanatos threw back his head and howled. His howl said several things. The first thing it said was for his pack to gather in camp. There was also an underlying message to Calypso. There was another 'guest'. He turned back to the newest addition to his pack. "Few words. Good. That means I don't have to be a total ass. Come on then." He shrugged and stood up. Unfortunately, the king was awkward in most social situations. He much prefered to just keep his mouth shut. Actions spoke so much louder than words. He nodded towards the stranger and turned to walk deeper into his territory.

It appeared that the male behind him was going to be good enough. Of course, Thanatos would never show it, but he was pleased with his pack thus far. There was himself and Calypso, Tux- the orphan pup, Shade- the newest female, four pups on the way, and Thanatos thought there was someone else. They were getting up to double digits. Thanatos took a deep breath of the crisp air. Winter was almost here. He hoped there would be enough prey for his pups to survive their first year.

Calypso had been lying on the grund with Thanatos when a howl was heard. She was expecting pups, a getting a little grouchier. He smiled and nuzzled him and Thanatos left. She sighed and laid her head down. Slowly she got up and started grooming her chest. She was on her way to meet the stranger when the strong howl she loved and adoed broke the air and she grinned. She ran for camp and when she arrvived, she sat expectantly infront of her den. The beautiful way she did, and waited patiently. She threw her skull back and her sweet beautiful sound replied. She was saying im there, and cautious and ready. She grinned and looked around, her tail wagging.

Nodding to his remark, the black brute stood up and waited to see where they were going. He looked at the alpha for a moment, then ahead of him as they started to walk. He walked, looking ahead the whole time, not really interested in where they were going. He heard an answering howl to the alphas, must be the alphess. He assumed. As they walked deeper into the land, he decided it was nice here, a good place to stay.
He didn't know how many were in the land, but more then just the alphas for sure. Orbs focused on the path ahead, it was still cold, getting colder as night approached. He wondered where he was going to sleep tonight.

Thanatos shook his fur and picked up the pace. His beauty had replied with her trademark note that sent shivers down his spine. The king's shake had nothing to do with the wind that was picking up. He was used to it by now. Most of the time, he didn't even notice. It didn't take long for he and his companion to make it all the way to camp. Just before he stepped into view of the rest of the pack, he rounded on Stunt.

"Can you get from here back to where you entered these lands without the use of your nose in as good of time as we made it from there to here?" He had pulled up short. If the other male wasn't paying attention, Thanatos would be bumped. That was not a smart decision with the alpha as grumpy as he was. Speaking of being grumpy... Thanatos's thoughts strayed to his perfect angel. The white Calypso. His eye twinkled at the thought. Shaking his head, he pulled himself out of his daydreams. Damn it, Thanatos... he scolded himself. You're acting like a love-struck yearling.

Calypso smiled. Her pups were coming soon, her torso was't expancing yet though, She smiled and was almost jumping out of her seated position to see her mate. Even though it hadn't been long, at all. Her tail beat on the dirt, but she wouldn't lay down when strangers were coming, she was Alphess and needed to hold herself like it...

Seeing the pack in view, Stunt smiled slightly. He looked around, remembering what the land looked like, and he had a faint image in his mind when they stopped. He liked this land, he knew that. But the wolves in it...? They were fine, er, he was fine. Swishing his black tail as they were almost there he looked ahead. Suddenly, the alpha turned, Stunt looked at him and waited for him to speak.

Nodding his head at the remark, he glanced behind them. "Sure." He said without much thought. He knew the way, maybe a few spots weren't very good though.
He looked at the alpha, glad he had been paying at least half his attention to the trail. This was probably one of his tests, to see if he could remember where they had come from.

Ok...no spiffy coding today. I'm on my iPhone and it sucks ass. So...my post is going to be kinda short.




Thanatos looked at the black before him. Stunt was differet. He looked as if he were out in lala land but Thanatos had no doubt he could get back out. The great king tilted his head and looked into the distance past the new dog. I'm seeing too many good traits... he thought. It was true. Stunt was quiet, nonchalant, and knew how to hold his tongue. Thanatos was seeing great potential. Then only thing left was for the male to prove his worth and loyalty. The alpha's gaze came back to the stranger's face, "Good." he nodded and walked into camp.

Calypso's orbs allowed Thanatos and a handsome black brute come into focus. She git up and walked forward to greet them, again not doing anything affection to Thanatos at this time she smiled to him. Her body stopped when their heads were parrallel and she nodded to the brute. "Hello brute." She said smiling, in her own sweet way.

Looking back, then forward, the brute swished his tail. The sun was high in the sky, beating down on them all. He looked at the alpha and waited, when he spoke Stunt nodded his head. Orbs looking at the fae ahead, and when they were near eachother he dipped his head. "Hello Miss," He said with a smile. "I'm Stunt."
He glanced behind her, seeing no one else as of yet. He glanced at the alpha and turned to him. "Anything you need me to do?" He asked. Hunting maybe? He hoped to make a good impression on the alphess and alpha. Then he would have a larger chance of being beta male.
