the Royalty

alpha {1} The alpha has absolute power. It is his decision, and usually his alone, whether or not another wolf can join his pack. It is entirely up to him to say another male can sire pups within the Wind Pack. The alpha is an absolute king. Period.
alphess {1} The alphess is the alpha's mate. She is the only female in the pack with the right to have pups. Her rank is directly under the alpha, giving her sufficient rank in the pack. If and when she is late in pregnancy or early motherhood, the alphess has enough power to give the alpha orders. This is only becuase no male in his right mind will cross a pregnant bitch.
beta {1} The beta is the alpha's most trusted friend and advisor. Usually, his rank is equal to the alphess. The beta will most likely be the only male besides the alpha to sire pups within the pack.
his fae {1} The beta's mate is only the beta's mate. If a female in the pack other than the alphess has pups, it will probably be the beta's fae.

the Accepted

scouts Scouts are almost always members of the pack with high fighting skills. Usually, these wolves do not hunt when everyone gets hungry. They're job is to keep the pups and alphess safe.
hunters Hunters have one main job: hunt. Groups of 5 or 6 will leave the dens and hunt for the entire pack. These are also the wolves responsible to feed the pups when they reach weaning age.
pups Pups don't have to do anything but grow up. They are usually the offspring of the alpha or beta. Rarely are pups allowed into the pack from an outsider, though it is not unheard of. Pups come of age after about four months.
omega Most feel sorry for the lowest of the low in a pack. The omega deals with more crap than anyone else by everyone. He or she will be the pupsitter, and is expected to do whatever he or she is told by just about anyone else in the pack.

the Watched

prisoners The alpha can and will take prisoners during a war. These wolves are generally under constant watch and will most likely not be trusted by the rest of the pack. It's a very hard life.
guests Wolves who are visiting are considered guests. Unfortunately, they are treated like outsiders and aren't trusted. Many wolves wishing to be a member of the pack will be a guest for a while before the alpha passes judgement.

the True

ignorance If the alpha's haven't met, Wind Pack is probably going to ignore the strangers. Of course, ignored packs will be watched, but there's nothing more to do.
aliance The only reason there would be an aliance between packs is if there is a direct relation between alpha's and there has been no treachery. Having an aliance only gives a pack less chances of having a war.
truce All wars end in some way. Most wars end with a truce. Wind Pack is not a pack to want a war with everyone all the time. Peace is easier to have. A truce between packs generally means that the alpha's have come to and understanding. Truces are terminated when either alpha changes.
disagreement A disagreement between packs is the calm before the storm. Nine times out of ten, disagreements become wars. This is not a comfort zone.
war Wind Pack will fight to the death. A war with the pack is almost a death wish. A war is simply a disagreement between packs. It is the alpha's decision whether or not to take action against someone.
