PACK POSTA New Generation

Calypso was tired, and hot, and sweaty. She howled weakly and worridly for Thanatos, saying the pups were coming, but to stay the hell away from her. She staggered to the dens, but let herself down to the ground before she reached their den. Right now she couldn't go up the hill, or any further. Pain shot through her back and body and she groaned.

She knew the pups would be safe, they had to be. She started pushing, knowing the pain would suside once she was done, she had gone through this before. Head laid on ground, closed. Body almost limp, painful, and sore she lay there. Her belly was moving and everything was in motion, she could feel it, they were coming.

She felt one pup come out, but without the energy to look. two more came out and she pushed once more. Four lay on the ground by her and she quickly cleaned them, breaking any casing still on them. They all seemed pretty healthy and she smiled as they cried. Summoning the energy she carried them up two by two up the hill and into the Alpha den and laid down. they stumbled around for a little bit and started suckling. She smiled, a small tear coming to her eye, as she felt more attached to these pups than any others.

Now with more energy the Alphess howled loud and clear for Thanatos, a happy jubilant sound, asking him to come now as he might want to see his offspring. Tail wagged as she licked and nuzzled her pups as they weened. They were all brown like father, and male too. But one white female like herself stood out and she licked it as it made a sweet high pitched noise.

Thanatos flipped out. Calypso was howling in agony and there was nothing he could do. Thanatos was only a male. He couldn't suddenly gain the godlike powers and help his queen bring his pups into the world. His mind kept flashing to his dream. He howled in frustration. The sound would probably catch the attention of his entire pack, no matter where they were in his lands. His paw stamped the dirt. He wanted to run to the fae and do anything he could to make her pain go away. The idea of something the size of his head going out of his hindquarters area made him sick.

He stamped again. Yes, he was an alpha, but a female who is birthing or has just had pups is NOT a force to jack with. In this state, Calypso could probably kill the king. He stayed just outside of the den out of caution. He glanced around figuring Shade or Az would come to their queen's aid as soon as possible. She might allow a female that she trusted in with her pups, but a male? Highly unlikely.

Suddenly there was a sound that he was dying to here. She was inviting him. It's got to be a trick... Thanatos thought. But...he couldn't help himself. Slowly, placing one timid paw in front of the other, he made his way into the den and let his eyes focus in the dim light. What he saw was the most beautiful picture his eyes had ever laid on. His perfect white queen with four bouncing balls of fluff nuzzled up against her belly. He was still a good two lengths from her; just far enough that if she snapped from the hormonal imbalance, he would have enough time to get the hell out before her jaws clamped down on a vital part of his body.

Calypso smiled and watched as the pups fed. Wails of agony were heard in the distance, she she mutterred. "You think your the one in pain." A dark figure, the one that brightened her world and made her happy came into focus and she barked to him though he was close. She smiled. "Im not a hormonal bytch Thanatos." She smiled and her tail thumped in the padding of the den, and all four pups listened to mommy's voice and turned to see their father.

One of the pups, one she decided to name Onyx started stumbling towards Thanatos but Calypso scopped him up before he fell all the way down the hill and broke something. "Thanatos, darling. Come see your offspring." She smiled and the white female and black male ignored Thanatos, continuing to drink greedily. The other grayish male stood dumbfounded by the size of the brute before him, as Onyx whinned, wanting to meet the brute.

Calypso leaned her neck as far as she could, dieing to nuzzle him. Her tail thumping, but she gave up and licked the pups. Onyx growled lowly and ran away from her tounge. She smiled and giggled. "I've decided to name him Onyx. He's got quite the personality, and he looks like you." She smiled. "The white one is a female, her name is Arabella. The other two names are up to you."

ooc{{ We skipped forward about a week. The pups wouldn't have had their eyes open yet. And, it takes about a week for a female to get over the hormones after giving birth. Sorry...just being realistic.


Thanatos could see no wrong in the picture before him. It had been about a week since Calypso had brought his pups into the world. Wind Pack was officially the largest pack for miles around. At nine strong, they were by far the 'power-pack'. No one would jack with them for a while. His thoughts moved from the safety of the pack to the safety of his pups. He was almost ready to give Shade the rank of scout with Az, and Stunt was most likely going to be promoted to beta in a few days. He trusted his pack completely. He ruled absolutely.

Thanatos slowly walked closer to his mate, leaning down and nuzzling her. She was his first priority for the pups were completely healthy. "Are you hungry? Are you thirsty? Is there anything I can get you?" He was still a little frantic. He looked at the pups. "They're so perfect. Just like you, my love." Yes, he was brown-nosing. Again, he didn't want to be the target if she snapped.

He lowered his head and looked little Onyx in the eyes, setting his great head on the dirt. The pup stepped up onto his father's nose and stared back. Thanatos smiled. Onyx smiled. Gently, Thanatos tried to pull his head up. The pup stepped back onto the dirt and walked back to his mother. The alpha looked to his queen, "He's like a mini-me." Calypso gave him the other choices for names. Immediately, two came to him. He pointed to the lighter grey, "Styx." He glanced at the dark black one and something forboding seemed to come over him. "...and Caleb."

It had been a week, and the pups could see now. they could walk pretty well too, she had taken them out for walks, still a little grumpy but doing good the Queen raised her head from a quick power nap and smiled at Thanatos. Arabella and Stnx fed and she smiled. "Nice names!" Caleb wandered aroud the den, venturing around Thanatos and Onyx. Thanatos spoke and she nodded softly. "I haven't eaten in a couple days, that would nice, thanks love." She nuzzled him and turned back to the pups. She sighed. "Do you guys want to go outside?" Four little nods were seen and they followed after Calypso out of the den, play fighting on the way, while Arabella, being a small tom boy tackled Caleb and continued on. Calypso walked into the grassy area and lied down as they tramped around and she watched them with tired eyes. She barked to Thanatos. "Maybe you could spend some time with them after, let me get the sleep I deserve."

Thanatos walked out of the den. Without a second thought, he raced towards the nearest kill. Just before he had heard the queen's anguished scream, Thanatos killed a large rabit and a bird. Carrying both delicately in his jaws, he trotted back to Calypso. "Here, my love." At this point, her wish was litterally his command. He walked up to the pups, gingerly taking them into his care. His soft spot for puppies was immediately obvious as he laid down and was basically attacked. With Onyx chewing on his ears, Caleb and Arabella wrestling, and Styx trying to catch his tail, he was definitely busy. The king smiled at his mate, "I think I can handle them for a few hours."

Calypso smiled and nodded as she look hungrily at the meat. "You'll make a great father!" She ate the meat, full and satisifed, now tired she laid her head down to rest, auds leaving all background sounds to be fuzzy, though as a mother, intuition and hearing was still alert for them. though she was facing them, always watching them and caring for them. After a hour or so she stirred ane woke up, with energy to go on until twilight. She smiled gingerly at Thanatos and licked him. "Thanks doll face." She said happily and jubilantly and moved herself beside him and pressed up against him. she nuzzled him lightly and laid her head on the bak of his shoulders, she was no longer grumpy, happy with the nap and the food, leaving the rest to the King.

Thanatos looked at his puppies. They were perfect in every way. Well, the runt was a little on the small side, but seemed to be very inquisitive. Styx, like the river of death. Well, Thanatos himself had been named after the personafication of death, so why not carry on the legacy to his offspring? He glanced at his angel, "Great father?" He looked at his pups, then back to his mate. "Do you know how much pressure that puts on me?" He smiled goodnaturedly and nuzzled her shoulder.

She was really proud of her pups. She shook her pelt and smiled. "Did I stutter??" She giggled and licked his muzzle. "No pressure. Really, it comes naturally." Already Stnx seemed like a trouble maker. Arabella was a sweetie, Onyx was protective of his siblings. And Caleb was kinda shy.. but sweet. He nuzzled him back, eyes full of love. Her tail was wagging and Arabella went up to Thanatos and nuzzled his leg.

Shade woke up when she heard the Alpha and Alphness.She aslo heard pup's talkng.She didn't hear the Alphness howl in pain because she was into a deep sleep.She hoped the Alphness was okay sense she just had pups.She jumped up walked over to them."Hello,What are the pups names?"Shade asked.She sat down and licked her paw.She had some blood from the rabbit that she eat early.Shade looked at her paw to make sure the blood was gone.It was.Shade turned her head to the Alpha,Alphness and their pups.

Calypso growled loudly until she heard who it was. With lightning speed, and practice, she had rounded them up and they hid under her pelt as she used her torso and leg muscles to stay their height off the ground, so they were unseen. she stood up cautiosly, giving a 'keep your distance' growl but welcomed her a little closer. Pointing to each she said, "Stnx is the gray one, Caleb is all black, Onyx is brown, and Arabella is the white and only female." She said proudly.

Stunt just found his den, now he was off to explore a little. He walked slowly, not caring where he went just making sure he was not invading or heading towards another land. He was almost use to the wind now, and the cold winds. Tail swayed back and forth, then he heard a growl and kept going. He saw the alphess, and the alpha now.
Then another fae who seemed to be meaning to stay a certian distance away from the alphess. She had had her pups probably.

He walked towards them and stood a few feet behind the fae and smiled. He liked pups, they were always cute, though he never really tried to show that. Glancing at the alpha he kept where he was. If the fae he had never seen was only so close, he should stay a little behind too. Common sense to him.

Azmerina--Compassion Lies Without Reason

The day had been a great day for a hunt, and since Az had finished scouting the Wind Pack side of the border she was now resting happily if hunting could be called resting. The she-wolf's strange white yet redish dappled fur with an array of black seemed to slink across the grassy plains. Her paws inching one infront of the other before pausing at the strike of air intake not to far from her. Bright golden eyes seemed to dagger toward the sound. Raising her delicate maw into the air her nostrils took a drag of air. The prey was deer. The creature was injured, the scent of blood was unmistakable. Azmerina knowing she should put the creature out of it's misery dropped into a croutch. The fae inched forward until the deer's lone form name into view. It was a doe, an easy kill if any.

The female wasted no time as her paws lifted into a burst of motion, her form charging into the creature's. The deer's reaction rate was slow, and it flinched just about to run but Az's form plowwed into the injured female before she could do such. Azmerina's neck snapped forth, locking her jaws around the deer's neck as her right forepaw anchored on the doe's throat. Once the creature died from lack of oxygen, Azmerina simply dragged the leg of the creature toward home. She was nearly there when a howl startled her form. Az paused, auds ontop of her head twitching to and fro before she jerked the lifeless form of the deer over her back and set into a trot toward camp.

Seeing her clanmates gather, she slid off the deer's body, and shook out her pelt. She didn't have enough time to lick off the drops of blood that clung to her pelt, but she didn't much care nor mind. Paws easing slowly, she peered those golden orbs around the den that housed the she-wolf, her own Alphess. Azmerina dropped into a low position at the sight of her two higher powers. Whining softly, at the sight of the newborns. Azmerina loved the sight of newborns..
